Glastonbudget – the time has arrived!

So I’ve got my set all sorted for tomorrow, and I’m actually pretty happy with it. I’ve largely avoided the I’ve-played-this-one-to-death syndrome, which even despite having a large amount of songs to choose from, it can be difficult to steer clear of at times. On a side note, I’m currently enjoying a Boost bar and it is most delicious.

On another side note – I’ve been featured on two podcasts recently, so I thought I’d share them with you all!

The first is LeftLion magazines ‘Poddingham’ podcast, which you can listen to/download here:
http://www.leftlion.co.uk/audio.cfm/id/115

I recorded 3 songs in total for the live session, 1 of which is featured in the podcast (along with an exclusive interview and a track from my album Perfectly Fine) – the full live session should be available to download for free from the LeftLion website come Monday :)

My track ‘I Want Out’ from the free Kala Sessions EP has been featured on the latest Spencerwire Radio podcast, available here: http://spencerwire.blogspot.com/2011/05/spencerwire-radio-third-edition.html

That’s all for now – see you at Glastonbudget!

All the best,

Marc.

First radio play on the BBC!

So I was very pleased this morning to be greeted with an email from the BBC introducing site informing me that on Saturday my track ‘Shadows’ from my album ‘Perfectly Fine’ was broadcast on BBC Radio Nottingham’s The Beat. The Beat is a radio show championing local and unsigned music, and is hosted by Dean Jackson, who is well known for discovering lots of up and coming unsigned talent.

If you didn’t manage to catch the show, you can listen to it on BBC’s iPlayer here: Launch iPlayer

There’s some great stuff on the show including a great single from We Show up on Radar & an amazing live session from Vintage Trouble

If you would like to hear more of my music on BBC radio then feel free to drop Dean Jackson an email at beat@bbc.co.uk and let him know how much you enjoyed hearing my music on his show.

Also, on a side note – anyone in Nottingham tomorrow, I’m playing at Acoustic Rooms at The Rescue Rooms, for their Dot to Dot festival auditions. As always, entry is free and there are happy hour prices on drinks all night, so if you’re around it would great to see you there! :)
